99 GMC Sierra Fuel Cell/Stock Sending Unit...

So...I've got a good friend out in Jersey who's an excellent fabricator, however, he's never done a fuel cell. He's agreed to build me one for cheap as long as I can send him some sort of plans for it. I've had my gas tank in the back of my bed for over 4 years and would love to get it the hell out of there, (as I'm sure you could imagine). The problem is, I don't know where to begin. I know i want all my factory stuff to hook back up, fuel pump and gas cap. I'm going to put it behind the c-notch. Does anyone have any good advice to give??? Thank you for your time...                                                                                  

just have him make a ring that locks the factory sending unit down and you're good to go. that's how i have mine done.

how many gallons did you make yours? i was thinking 24. im gonna do a raised bed floor here ina minute. do you have any pics??? thanks for the reply...
