Has anybody else had problems with the FBI control arms for the s10.  After putting them on, I shimmed them to the way the stock arms were and the wheels have positive camber even when its laid flat on the ground... Id really hate to put a shit load more shims in there.  Anybody have any suggestions of tips on what ive done wrong.  Ive got  a 92 s10 with the FBI arms, 2" drop spindles, and everything else that bolts to them is brand new...  Im lost, I need some help.

My room mate got them 2nd hand off someone who hated them. He built his s10 to lay on a 20, and did a SFBD... There was no way they would work. Terrible really. He ended up selling em back to the dude he got em from for whatever reason he wanted em. And ran Suicide doors upper and lowers.

hey.   im an alignment tech. and ive seen your problem alot.  i work at dodge and when we put new control arms on we ALWAYS have to to an alignment.  after putting a new arm on the alignment specs will never be the same from one part to another.  i would say go get an alignment, im sure something is slightly different on the FBI arms.  i did the same thing when i put SD arms on my dime, i just shimmed them like stock, and when i put it on the alignment rack after the BD the alignment was like -2.0 degrees camber on the right side, but the alignment was perfect at stock.  make sure you go to a good shop who knows how to do alignments, some shops dont know how, or wont align "altered"  vehicles...

I would normally say that too, but this is something totally different.    I talked to some people at the show this weekend who were running them. both guys had issues with 2" spindles. one of of took the spindles off and it worked better. the other guy was instructed to swap the upper arms, left to right, and flip em upside down, and it would allow more travel, but make your camber act different.   Seems like these arms were designed by someone who either knows little about functioning suspensions, and made them solely to lay on a big wheel, or they were never tested before sale. I've also heard that anything smaller than a 20" wheel will yield problems with them.

A lot of people have installed these upside down because the FBI website had a picture of them like that. This thread might help...

I got mine three years ago when they first came out and had the same problem. Called FBI and they said they had the cups upside down from what you see in the picture so you have to switch the tops left to right.

Im running the equivalent to an 18" wheel with 35 series tire.  I might try the spindle thing and see how that works. but Im pretty sure the control arms are on correctly. Im gonna have to do some serious trial and error though and try everything you guys said. heres pics of the suspension. Drivers side Passengers side Do you guys see anything wrong?

The wheel size is just temporary as well.  I plan on running 20's.
