I know this will be a silly question to ask on a site that is more geared to lowered rides. Just wondering what lift kits you truck guys/gals like? I'm buying a 4x4 for work/daily driver/Tow pig and want to do a 4" or 6" lift. I have narowed it down to either a 2006 Ford F150 super crew FX4 or a 2006 Chev C1500 crew cab both are short boxes and bone stock (yuk). Thanks for the time.
BDS and RIZE industries are a decent 6'lift kits Done some F150s at work with a leveling kit and 285s or a 315 tire if you dont want to spend a bunch and sits nice. If you havent bought a truck yet got a 05 king ranch 57k miles 9"lift last week at my dealership if your interested
I would go with a CST lift kit...its just my opinion...they make a high quality kit for any make and model...im going to run 8-10" kit on my 09. The Ford or Chevy are both awesome trucks so its up in the air there...i prefer chevy's but everyone's opinion is there own
scr8pnyota thanks for the info on the trade in at the dealership it would be really cool only bad thing is i live in Canada and the freight from Fla to my city would kill me. Tukn22inch thanks for the lead on the used kit but that one is a little taller than i need. The reason i want to keep it around that 4-6 inch area is my wife is kinda short and i want to keep it sorta mild so that she can drive it if need be. I have looked around my area and everybody seems to want to sell either Trailmaster or Procomp and depending who you talk to they say both those kits are junk seems odd to me about that but hey each there own i guess. A few guys said they can order me a Fab tech or BDS or a RCD kit but huge money and i have a buget i have to work with so big dollar kits look to be out. Like scr8pnyota said and a few buddies but a lift/leveling kit from sombody like Ready Lift or a company called Truxx and do a 3" lift and run a 285 or a 315 and i would have a sweet lookin ride with enough cash to buy rims for the lifted truck and rims for my show truck now that really got my mind workin overtime LOL.
If you are on a budget and wanna save some cash go with a leveling kit, they are inexpensive and work perfect so you can get bigger tires under the truck. Any Independent Front End Suspension lifts will cost you over 1,000.
