05 cadilac motor help

ok looking at getting a 05 caddy sts with the 3.6 direct inection....  is this the same motr or vairation of the same motor that is in the new 2010 v6???  reason i ask is theres not a whole lot of parts to upgrade caddy motor and was curious if i could modify camaro stuff like a exhuast like a corsa or something
