Ball Joint Dust Seal Won't Seat

I've got a 64 Nova Sport Coupe with a Heidts Mustang II front clip. It lays cross member up front when the car is laid out. I'm in the middle of mocking everything up before I paint it and noticed that the upper ball joint dust seal doesn't seat because of the angle of the upper control arm. The lower is fine. I know guys have cars sitting pretty low with tubular control arms and am wondering if they had the same issue. If so, what was the fix? These are new ball joints (81 LeBaron uppers per Heidts) and I'm using the seals that came with them. Heidts seals do the same thing. Here's a picture. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have the exact same issue. I am using moog ball joints with cup car upper arms. My arms are not @ quite that harsh of a angle, but I would love to here what people have to say about this.
