If i were you i would find out the specs on your bags. Example: re7s are 2.9 inches. So normally i fix one side be it top or bottom mount. Then i take a piece of 3 inch and stick it in between. Line up your top plate tack it in and build off that. I can normally fully bag a truck in the front in about two hours that way.

looks like re8s are 2.9 so you need 3 in to 3 1/8 would'nt do any more than that you can also angle your uppers and lowers to give you this )
