I lowered the motor in my 1998 Tacoma and now my oil pan sits on the crossmember. Will i have to modify anything like the sump or pickup tube if i section the oil pan 1/2 inch.?

Lay a flat edge across your mounting flange of oilpan measure the depth then measure your pickup tube.

Would it be easier to notch the crossmember and plate it back?? Thats how i plan to do mine anyway.

i lowered my motor 1" (because i raised my crossmember 1/2") and all i did was "straighten" the back of the pan where it hits the crossmember.  I cut it out and replaced it with a piece of sheet metal that is straight up and down instead of angled like the stock pan is.
