what 4 wire led module is everyone using? i have avs modules on my nissan with hitec 3 wire leds (2 powers and 1 ground) ive got both powers tied together so its bein used as a 2 wire....my problem is that the turn signals only work if the parking lights aron or im on the brakes, an if the parking lights are on and im on the brakes the turn signals only barely flicker the lights, u can barely tell anything is goin on, so i added a line of fire led strip and put it in the rear window so when i hit the turn signal i have something flashing until i hit the brakes then the rear leds will start flashing.....im lost on what is goin on here i know these should be working the same way as my stock tails...

I forgot which one I used for my hitechleds. I know it was a small black box that corrected this same issue. Check out their site or give them a call. http://www.hitechledproducts.com/product_info.php?cPath=26_36&products_id=192&osCsid=f46e347cd04b9036edb9d7ddff5a14f8 AVS has some others to choose from too.  http://www.avsontheweb.com/home.php?cat=113

thanx for the links but on the hitech site that is so they flash at a normal speed, and on avs site i can only use the 4 wire modules cuz its on a nissan...

I described how to do this in the old AVS form and pissed the guy off! You do not need a module to run leds you can use normal everyday relays....and it sounds like you need an eletric no load flasher, it takes a the correct amount of voltage through the lights to trip a normal flasher witch is just like a circuit breaker. Ill have to look and see if i can find the thread!

thanx, i tried wiring my own relays with a resistor on the turn signal lines to slow down the flash an it work ok for awhile but then stoped, maybe they got wet....i think the issue is the module honestly, i think theres too much resistance on those circuits an thats whats makin them very dim...i called avs and got nuthin but the run around...so ya fuck those guys...

THE RESISTOR IS WHAT THE RELAY IS FOR.....YOU USE THE COIL SIDE OF THE RELAY AS THE RESISTOR, I DID MY 55 THAT WAY...IM LOOKING TO SEE IF I CAN FIND THAT FOURM, LOOKS LIKE ITS BEEN ERASED

I've got the same type of issues with my S-10. I've wired them every way I can imagine and they won't work right. I thought there might be a problem with my headlight switch or wiring up front but my regular taillights work fine. I called AVS also and they told me I needed to run my stock light bulb sockets with the lights in them, in parallel with the LED's. I haven't had a chance to try that yet. Good luck buddy. Of course mine's a Chevy but I will let you know if I figure something out. -Stew-

Now I don't who you talked to here when you called in, but I can try to help you out the best I can. Now I'm not too familiar with the Hitec product, but if it has 3 wires like you are explaining. Then it already has a 3 wire module built into the light. Try only using the high out put wire and the ground. Leave the low intensity wire disconnected. I'm not sure if that will solve your problem, but it is a pretty simple thing you could try.
