---------------------------------------------Originally posted by LittleShopLackey Well then I have question for the guys saying 100 an hour aint bad:      does $60,000 sound like a fair price to pay for parts and labor doing a job like this one: http://bit.ly/cx9Rgu  Cause that's what it would have cost if we were charging 100 per!   Maybe we're robbing ourselves?!  ---------------------------------------------Obviously on full builds you cannot charge $100 an hour, but on small quick jobs nomore then 1-2 hours $100 an hour is fair in some states with overhead costs.

100 an hour is fair.It is also very hard to get most customers to pay that price. On smaller jobs, I would think it would be a little easier to charge that.

Dear Eric,           I would like to come pick my truck up before the rates get to 100 an hour please.... I understand that even at a buddy rate the blazer is a million dollar vehicle, but the ranger however is a 50 dollar truck in it entirety . Please alert me before you start charging storage fees as well. plllleeeaassseee and thhhaaannnkkkksss   Ya padna,  -Pascallywag

$100 an hour is reasonable for quality work. You could be paying $50 an hr to someone who spends a couple hrs of the day with customers, an hr on the phone/texting, then lunch, post on Street Source. Getting only about 3-4hrs of honest work in, but charging for an 8hr day. In the end it works out about the same.
