was wondering if anyone had any ideas why my oil would be shooting out of the block where the oil dipstick tube goes in? i was thinking it just needed sealed better. i was just gonna run some high-temp silicone around it. but my real concern is oil is actually coming up out of the top of the dipstick tube as well. i hope this is just something stupid. i heard it would only do this if there is too much crankcase pressure and that i could have something to do with the PCV valve being bad. but it was a brand new PCV valve and i blew into it and it seems to work properly. i even ran the truck with the valve off and it still did the same thing.this is a motor that we rebuilt and added some performance too. it's been started several times, but i only let it run for less than 10-20 seconds each time since i don't have all the cooling parts on it yet so i didn't want it to really warm up. so maybe it's just breaking the motor in and once it actually warms up it won't do this anymore? i'm clueless. just hope it's not a major issue. thanks if anyone know what this is or has seen this before.
