whats the max psi on an air tank made for air brakes? its old and its steel.
nissandoordragger   +1y

im 90% sure its 150 psi but the burst is like 3-400 psi i had one on my nissan for 3 years and had the psi up to 300 a few times when i forgot to turn off my edc so you can run 200 and be golden

120-150 is max that trucks use. on my Peterbilt, the air dryer bleeds off around 125 psi. I have seen some go 140-150 but not too many.

It should have a 150psi recommended pressure if it is DOT approved and a bust pressure of at least 500 psi if not 600 or more. But be sure to do your homework before hooking it up.
