break peddle hard as heck to puch down. 94 suburban

have a 94 suburbam and the break peddle is super hard. didnt know where to start. so i bled the brakes to start and it wasnt that. and when i press on the brake it sound like the is a loud vacuum leak by the pedal. but you cant hear it under the hood. any ideas?

sounds like your vacuum booster is leaking out the back side where the shaft for the master cylinder comes in.
