im pretty sure if you're really in a bind that you could put a b2200 head on there too, might lose a little compression but who cares

The 2.0 and 2.2 heads are the same. It's the rocker assembly that is different. You can stick the 2.0 rocker assembly on the 2.2 head if you want to. Also, look around for '85-'87 Mazda 626's. The 8 valve head on those are the same once you rip them down to the bare head and have a machinest put a freeze plug in the rear coolant opening (the 626 upper radiator hose hooks to the "back" of the head, a freeze plug fills the hole when these heads are used on the trucks.) I was going to tell you that I have a couple I could sell you but the cost of buying/finding a good core, paying to have a machinest surface, valve grind, clean it, plus the new valve seals and then the price of shipping, you'd be in the $300 range. I found several on Ebay, ready to go in that price range:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MAZDA-2-0-2-2-B2000-B2200-626-CYLINDER-HEAD-COMPLETE-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem25561977c6QQitemZ160358299590QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories I hope this info helps you out.

i just looked at th ehead that came off my motor when it was running and the crank isnt scorned or ground down its just where the oil grove is where the cam bolts down has a groove in the center so its not completely flat so the cam has a ridge on the center where the oil groove is if that makes any sence to you
