89 silverado steering column in an 89 suburban?

Just wondering if anyone here knows if a steering column from an 89 silverado (c/k) will work on an 89 (square body) suburban?  Gavin found a donor today for free, he said they look the same but not sure if all the plugs and wires go to the same stuff.  Wiring's not really a big deal, it has an 08 silverado dash, so some things are definitely going to have to be hardwired, but i want to make sure the free donor will work before i shell out for a column.

if you got the dash y dont you find a 07 up steering column it would look way way better

you should be able to swap those columns with no problems.   might have to fab a strap to bolt into burban column drop......ignition switch plug should be the same...

Travis, thought about that but wiring everything would be a nightmare, plus the cheapest i could find one was about $250, and the guy building mine had one drop in his lap yesterday.  From an 89 silverado.
