I have been driving my truck with these brackets for like 2 weeks and I can already tell the bushings are about shot and im losing lift all because of the lower bars twisting like a bitch. These have got to be the wost designed brackets out there, yet SSD continues to sell them. So, this weekend I have to tear apart my rear setup and will hopefully have enough room to center the bags on the bars and drill new holes for the bags. If I have to completely redo my upper brackets I WILL BE LIVID. I havent heard of anyone successfully riding these brackets without having problems so for those of you who plan to use them....forget it, they will fuck your shit up.

There. I just wanted to vent I guess.

Where do people get the second S when abbreviating SuicideDoors?

those brackets work great if you have a 2 link, but if you have a 2 link you have another problem. lol

Its not like SD is the only company that sells them, or even the 1st company to provide them. Yes, the bars will twist if you install them as provided. However, the tubing gusset thats provided offers the MOST offset you can get, but not neccessarily the correct offset for your project. You should always try to center the bags over the bars as much as possible, but if they must be offset, then trim the provided gusset to size. If you need more room try running a smaller bag, most 2500-sized bags will offer 2500lbs of load rating across the rear axle when used in pairs at a 2:1 ratio and thats plenty for many trucks. A lot of people use the brackets for 2link setups and they perform flawlessly there.

Yeah I dont know where the SSD came from...lol  I am currently running RE-7s in the rear and I did consider trying to get some RE-6s and then center them, but im still may not have enough room to re-drill holes in the upper brackets which will be such a pain to say the least. I setup the rear of my truck a couple years ago really when I was still learning things. I just thought that even though there is an offset of the bag, half of the bag was still on top of the bar and it would work pretty good. And if these brackets work so well with a two link, why do they come in a kit with a 4-link? I dunno, im just pissed cuz the truck has sat in my shop for like 5 years and it hasnt been a month of me driving it and I could be re-doing the rear suspension soon.

I hear ya bud, I was just checking out the pics of the rear setup, can't see any clearances but a smaller bag would get you 1/2" over the RE7 right away, but I can't tell how much more you need to go. Typically that 4link would be used on the outside of a narrow railed truck, like a ranger or fsc, so they need to be offset.

i had the same problem with mine. but i ran them for like 5 years or so on a daily before it started to crack my frame. i redid them so they were centered and havent had a problem since...

Can't you guys section the frame out and replate it and center the bag over the bar?
