OK so sounds like you dawg is fairly similar to mine. I am running a 17x7 billets specialties with a 5 3/8 backspace (basically a +35mm offset) and a 205/40/17 with stock 2 wheel drive sheetmetal and nothing narrowed. In the back I barely clear but I do clear. Bear in mind though any small shift in your rear suspension or bed and you be rubbing. If you are totally stuck on the idea of doin an 8 inch wide rim I would recommend either narrowing the back end (and if you are gonna do that just get a new yota rear and go 5 lug greatly increasing your wheel choice) or you are going to need a wheel with a +46 offset.   Here are the basic rules of thumb on a BD dawg as far as offset   7 inch wide rim - +35  7.5 inch wide rim - +39  8 inch wide rim - +46 8.5 inch wide rim - +54

Im runnning 18x7" Bonspeed Lagunas with a +45mm offset. Then 215/35/18s for tires. I clear fine with mine. Lots of room, but they are custom made.
