We have the opportunity to have four signed bands from Facedown Records play at our show. If we decide to go forward with it, it will be after the show and awards are over, so that the older folks can roll out and won't be disturbed. We want to know you guys opinion on this b/c I haven't really seen too many minitruckin shows w/ deathcore metal concerts afterward. It will be an extra $10 prolly if you want to see the concert. This will be an option at the registration, so it will be left up to you. What do you guys think? I want everyones opinion before we take the plunge, b/c it's a substantial amount of money to have them there, but I've seen them play live and it's well worth it to me.....<!-- w -->http://www.facedownrecords.com/

in my expierence... once i show is over people just wanna leave. long hot day. waking up early. staying up late to clean and prep truck is tiring. just my two cents.

I have played a few gigs at car shows during and after and they never work out. You may get a few people to stay and check out whats going on but unless you got a very well known and liked band that will be playing chances are it will just be a flop. I have only seen one show pull off the band thing and it was Freakfest back like 7 years ago and that worked due to the fact it was a 3 day run. But you never know unless you try. Good luck to you guys.

x3 on the aftershow timing. see how many dig that kind of music and have it kick off about 7 or 8 pm the first nite of the show. im 47 yrs old, used to play in thrash metal/death metal bands as a drummer back in the late 80s,and 90s, so dont let age or OLD looking persons sway your decision. i think it would be killer to see some signed bands kick a show the first nite (friday) at any car or truck show!!

Hell man if I were closer I would hit it up. Especially if HANDS or APleaForPurging where playing. Little note those two are actually hardcore christian bands as well. But...on the flip side I know if it is a long hot day turnout will be less then planned for. Unless you advertise to Johny Q Public then you might get people there just for that part of it.

The package that is available to us is: War of Ages, A Plea for Purging, In The Midst of Lions, and Texas in July. I've seen a couple of them live before and they're great, but I'm not sure if we'll get enough support to pay for them. We'll see....still open for ideas or opinions. Thanks for the opinions given so far...

i think having the concert on saturday evening after the days events are over would be the best situation.

I have always wanted bands to play at shows, I think it's a killer idea. Different bands all day would bring in alot more spectators I think. Do it!
