Gonna try this again. I just got a new cab for my taco that I plan to stock floor. Id like to know if using 2x3 to re-build the rails will give me enough room to lay pinch WITHOUT CUTTING THE FLOOR. I refuse to cut the floor at this point with the exception of the tranny/driveline tunnel. I will use dual 2x2 rails per side if I need more room but would rather not.

Somebody help me out here...

YES. 2x3 will allow you to lay pinch without cutting the floor for the frame rails. The one I did had a IRS rear end, so I had to cut the floor for the driveshaft. If you have a carrier bearing in your driveshaft you will probably be fine without cutting for the driveshaft.

Thanks very much guys. Its been killing me to know so I know whether to get 2x2 or 2x3 and I havent really gotten into it yet. Phil, are you saying you are to rocker (with 2x3) and didnt have to cut the floor at all...just the tranny/driveshaft tunnel?   I am just going to pinch myself....my current cab is a little past rocker and I hate looking at my rockers. After years of laying on them they tend to get wavy.
