I don't know about ranger evaporators but if thats what you had to remove you could just get an aftermarket under dash unit (not the prettiest thing). You'll either have to have new hoses made, or put the correct connection ends on yours. You'll probably have to have your existing hoses extended to make them reach and attach to the aftermarket stuff if you go that route. But the main thing is, as long as you have a compressor, drier/accumulator, condenser, expansion valve/ orifice tube, and an evaporator then you can have air. The Drier/Accumulator and Expansion valve/Orifice tube depends on what type of system you choose, you'll have either/or. Iif you choose to go with the aftermarket evaporator you'll have a drier and an expansion valve. Your current set up that came from the factory in your truck is an Accumulator and has an orifice tube. That didn't help much I'm sure but there are some A/C forums you can check out too. I just reinstalled my A/C in my truck this year. I used the factory York compressor and factory evaporator with a 91 Isuzu condenser and drier and a new expansion valve for R134. Some of the hoses came off the Isuzu, some came off a Dodge with an Aftermarket system installed on it, and I had one hose custom made. Long story short I get 45^ out the vents on a 100^ day.
