im doing a v8 swap in my mazda and im using a toyota rearend to complete the 5lug conversion. will the toy rearend be able to handle the power of the motor. im not racing it or anything just a stock 305 and 4 speed auto tranny. i just dont want it flying apart if i get on it.

Yeah it will be fine. Those are tough rear ends

I light the tires up on my v8 yota no probs.  Just watch the gear ratio tho.  I've got 4.30's and run at 3000rpm at 60.  I need some 3.07's.

yea it will definately be fine with that 305. lc engineering claims a stock yota rearend to handle 500hp. thats what there 2jz track truck had and he said at the time it had made 60 passes with the stock truck rear end and no problems yet.

yeah my rear has handled me bashing the hell out of it with the new motor swap...so the rear ends dont have the same gears....i have my stock 4 banger 5 speed rear end and have a ext cab auto rear end outs my other yota ...i just wisj they made lockers for these
