Been working on this for the past couple years, after coming home from a show two years ago the stock motor started to knock so figured my not stuff a small block in her lol..

This is my Mazda before stripping her down

Stock as she comes blown mazda motor

Me and a friend pulled the motor and scrapped it for parts

Looks like theres alot of work ahead for me lol

Getting ready to cut the firewall and make room for the 305

The motor ill be using, out of a 80's cutlass.

Cut the old motor mounts out

Cleaning up the frame, welding all the factory holes smooth

More smoothing out

Now time for new motor mounts to hold the V8

In place on blocks doing alittle test fit

Hood still closes looks good here so now time to make the mounts

Start of the mounts, pretty basic and will do the job.

Now time to weld in the round tube for the bolts

Energy suspension motor mounts to help with vibration

Welding motor mounts now.

After welding is done ill cap the openings of the mounts

Alittle firewall mock up with plastic sheets that ill use as a template

Time for a new gas tank

Using a 90's blazer gas tank that will fit in here now

Frame ready for sand blasting and so on lol

Parts sandblasted ready for high build primmer

In high build ready for paint

Section of the firewall ready to be tacked into place

Starting the firewall fab

Rebuild the motor and sprayed the block to match the new body colour ill be going with

Got the suspension and frame painted and back together

Installed 4 link I fabricated and new tank installed

Dropped the motor onto the frame

Time for the cab now, coming soon lol. got to paint it first.

looks awesome man, if I ever did a v8 swap I was going to use a ford 302 because of the dumb dist. placement on the chevy v8s. Very nice man.
