ok so just put in a 5 gallon aluminum tank, 4 new firestone 267 bags (sweet) and wired up 2 new 444c compressrs with a Hornblasters pressure switch 110-150psi built in  dual 40 amp relays.working great for a few hours and quit working got power to the pressure switch and all grounds are good. i am running 4guage wiring to the back with a distibution block and a 100 amp fuse was in the holder. what size fuse should i use and could that 100 amp have fried the switch???

JUST NOTICED THIS THREAD IS A LITTLE OLD.. You want to have a 40 amp fuse in that holder, if it blows there is something that needs to be fixed! Is there power coming out of the pressure switch?

you need to find out the amps the viair draw and then add them together to get the total amps draw so you can buy a fuse that size or close to it with in a few amps. cause it you use to small you will allways replace the fuses . if its to big you find out the hard way when you power wire melts and startes a fire in you ride .  viair can tell you how much amps they draw when first fire up the compressors  example say amp draw of 35 amps each compressor i would do 80 amps fuse no less cause it will pop a 60 amp every time  im guessing the amps for each compressor  find the ohms law fomula chart it will show you how to calulate amperage  in car audio we take the voltage from the alternator and divid it by the max wattage the amp puts out to find the total amps in the system   example take 13.5 volts/ =  a 2000watts = 148 amps   i would us a 150 amp fuse  mecp advanced since 1992 have any question email me at caraudioquestion@gmail.com

Hi, This is Garrett with Hornblasters. The Dual 444c should NOT need over a 100amp fuse. Even an 80amp fuse should be just fine. Where is the pressure switch located on the air tank? Any pics?  If you haven't yet, run the air compressors directly to power, and bypass the pressure switch. This will confirm that the pressure switch is the problem. Hornblasters pressure switchs are tested before they leave the factory. I'd be surprised if it was a problem with our unit, but I'm not ruling it out. They are made here in the USA, and you have a 1 year warranty on the item. Prove to me that your switch is the problem, and I will warranty the item for you. Simply pay the UPS shipping charges from me to you. However, if it ends up being that the compressors just aren't turning on, I have a solution for this as well.   Talk with you soon! Garrett@Hornblasters

This is the wiring schematic for a Dual Pack of 480c compressors (very similar to the 444c), with the ViAir pressure switch, and relays:http://static.hornblasters.org/diagrams/dgm-viair_dual_packs.pdf
