im getting ready to buy some valves and a friend at work told me certain valves will work better then others in freezing cold weather. so i was wondering if any of you guys that live somewhere where it snows have any personal experiance. im not gona daily drive it in the winter but i would like to take it out when its not too bad. atleast be able to air it up.

im in Montana, and daily drove my bagged tbird all throughout the winter last year.
I have SMC valves, and my air ride setup was pretty much trouble free even in below 0* other than occasionally having to tap on the valves in order to air up.
i used a water trap coming off of each compressor and drained them pretty often.

I cant say wether certain valves handle the cold better than others or not because smcs are all ive had.

Does anybody know anything about using a brake line antifreeze in an air ride setup? i was looking at some at oreillys but i wasnt sure if it would mess somthing up.

air brake antifreeze works great to keep valves from freezing, it also acts as a lubricant for the rubber diaphrams and keeps them healthy. Ive never had any issues with valves freezing in the winter, Once i had a problem with my water traps freezing because i forgot to empty them one night when i got home.

live in connecticut..and before my son was born iu daily drove my bagged and boddied truck with ^^^^^said air line antifreeze..available anywhere that would cater to heavy equip. even napa can get it,,and i ran blizzaks for snows..jus gets a lil squirly avery 15 feet hahaha. but ya that shit works..also a lil trick i did for water traps i put a parking light off a burban and mounted it next to the trap...when the car warms up the bulb warms up the trap contaiment area..defrosts it..or dump your exhaust near it haha,, and this only works with a glass one. never tried on a plastic one.. might melt it.
