ok what is everyone opinion on which is better for the price.. dual pack of 444 or 480s is about the same as 1 air zenith.. i know air zeniths are suppose to be better and faster. but my question is for the price of 2 viars or 2 air zeniths what is everyones opinion on which to get.. i have 2 380s now and want to change just wondering what everyone thinks is a better deal.

air zenith is the shit ive been usen air zenith for 6yrs now and with the new ob2 series they just got better w/ a 2yr warrenty and 3.5cfm i loved them b4 and love em even more now the obd1 and obd1x were easy 2 rebuild and kits were cheep and (paul & gloria) they always had great service

dont get me wrong viair is a great compressor but ive always used or replaced them w/ air zenithviair has alot of choices so do ur research when u buy a viair look for - 100% duty cycle @ 200psi

I had two Viar 480s take a dump on me in 2 years.

Dont have any experience with the new AZ OB2s but I havent heard any bad about them and I think they have a longer warranty than Viars.

I have dual viar 480's and i am yet to have a problem, but i also didnt wire it with those relays i went ahead and got one of those solenoids from the f-150 or mustangs, and used bigger wire, shorter grounds!

I have 2 480's and wired it up with the relays, and never had any problems. I have sold a couple dual pack 480's and everyone who buys them loves them no problems for me.

yeah i have always ran viar and have never had problems out of them.. my new truck came with 2 380s when i bought it and when i change the compressors to something better im trying to look at my options. i guess my biggest thing is why are the air zenith so much more expensive when as far as my luck has been there is nothing wrong with viar.. i know air zenith is faster and all that but if i buy a dual pack it isnt much is any faster then 1 air zenith.. so with out knowing alot about air zenith since ive never ran them so basicly what im asking is whats so special with the air zenith over the viar for the almost double price difference? i know both are good but dont understand why pay almost double

I have only used 1 set of compressors & they were the Viair 444s! They were great, 0-160 psi in under 1 minute on a 3 gal tank! Seeing as I could get a dual pack for less than 1 OBD2, the choice was pretty clear. No matter how bad ass the AZs are, 2 Viairs will move more air than 1 AZ! Just like what was stated above, I ran nice BIG power wire, short grounds, I did use relays, but heavy duty ones. Also I just dont like the way the AZs look, the Viairs are much nicer looking to in my opinion!

ive only had 2 450s for 5 years the only problem was the 1st year i had them one of them i guess had the thermo switch stick. sent it back got a new one been runnin both since. my two cents are viair has been out for awhile so i say viair. but the new ob2 az i havent heard a bad note bout them yet. what it comes down to do the research compare and then buy. do u want a compressor that might go bad or do u want one that u know for a fact wont burn up in a month.

SO CONCLUSION HERE VIAIR IN MY BOOK

over the years i have ran alot of Viair and when AZ first come out i went with 2 of them. I never went back to Viair. I just picked up 2-OB2 with fans for my Dakota rebuild. Im all about the AZ..

have you considered running a EDC? since you have a mazda you can get a sanden 508 or 708, use the stock a/c brackets and have a super fast EDC that makes considerably less noise then traditional compressors...i converted mine to a grease filled. easy to do and i picked up the brackets and compressor for like 70 bucks total.
