so im pretty sure a bunch of water got into my compressor and it has stopped working, it was running like half capacity then just quit, but about an hour and a half started working again. it is a viar 480 and only been in the truck since febuary this year. any help would be great.

Matt just wondering how did water get back into the compressor? Do you have check valves on your Compressor ends going to the tank? If it was working at half capacity then quit and then worked an hour or so later sounds like a wiring problem in the compressor or in the wiring in general. Did the compressor when working at half power maybe get over heated thats why the thermal switch in the compressor shut it down till it was cool enough.

ive never had any overheating problems with them (i have 2 but only 1 is acting like this). i know all the wiring is right unless it could be internal?? the reason i think water got in it is the zip tie that was holding air filter up broke and was hanging down far enough to get wet, i pulled the filter element out and it was pretty wet. im gonna relocate the filters this weekend. im just kinda lost with what to do.
