I mounted my billet steering wheel and the shroud in my car's got about a 3/4" gap between it and the steering wheel adapter. The shroud is plastic, what should i do to lengthen it?

Add a wood trim ring or section it and add the length to it, just need more work to do. I added and wrapped wood myself to mine.

well i started messing around with it and sprayed some foam on the end, carved it with a knife, sanded it smooth and now im trying to figure the best way to finish it. i was thinking about fiberglassing it, but its gotta flex a little in order to put it back on the car.

wrap it

The foam is pretty soft, so wrapping it isnt an option yet.
What should i use to make it solid? My original plan was to brush it with fiberglass resin, let it cure, smooth it out then cover it but i heard resin wont stick to plastic. is this true?

just fiberglass over that foam man. fiberglass it all as one piece then cut it apart with a band saw. that way the shit stays uniformed. im making one for mine to cover all the bullshit wiring underneath it...

When you say fiberglass it, are you talking about just the resin to harden the foam, or put a layer of matting on the entire shroud?

Are there any fiberglassings websites other than fiberglassforums.com?That site's a ghost town now, all threads have been deleted.
