Upper ball joints.

I am about to start building some upper control ars for my Dodge Ram, and am looking for an upper ball joint with a lot of articulation. I am thinking about 1998 Chevy 3/4 ton uppers, Jimmy Joints, or Uni Balls. I have heard that Uni Balls have a tendency to make noise. This is my daily driver, so I don't want noise. What are all you guys running for uppers?

Chevy full size upper ball joints are not the same taper, they are too small and rattle around in side the spindle, which is a terrible idea.

Whoever told you that uniballs make noise, sounds out of their mind. Ive never heard a peap from them before...

This is what I use for uppers.

The Chevy ball joints I bought are .860 at the top of the taper and my Dodge joints were .750. My plan was to ream them like I did when I flipped my lowers for the Chevy joints. I do like that set up you got there. What about something like these Jimmy Joints? Here is a pic of the joints I bought.

oo, if you plan to re-ream the spindle, then you can put anything you want up there, it really wont matter. My first choice wouldnt be a full size chevy ball joint, but im not fond of ball joints that bolt into a place. I would use a screw in ball joint.

I personally wouldnt use those jonny joints, to much slop. but to each their own.
