I have a '93 std cab with 4wd front clip. It has a 2/3 drop on it right now, I do plan to bag it sometime down the road but not bodydropping it. I was thinkin of just running 18's. My question is, what is a good offset so it sticks out as much as possible without hitting the body when I drop it? I would like to stay away from a flush spoked wheel, I like the look of having a lip on the wheels. I'm ok with it if the spokes dip in as they go to the outside. Make sence?

I had to read that like 5 times before I realized you mean 4wd sheetmetal. Right???? The 4wd sheetmetal provides a lot of give. I've got 20" centerline smoothies on the front of my truck and they got some lip. Down side is they are pretty close to the fenders. They are 20x8.5 with +19 offset. I think I know you from toyotaminis

Yes, 4wd fenders. I thought about runnin 20's since I don't plan on on bodydropping it. But still not sure what size to run, I guess it all depends on what wheels I find and like. How close are your wheels on the inside?

Yeah, I'm on Toyotaminis but I figured here would be a good place to ask and get info cause there would be more people with knowledge on it.

I don't think you can fit a wheel that sticks out more on a toyota. Mine are closer than I would like, but I'll deal with it since you rarely see a yota with some lip. I have to lift it Donk style to make a decent turn. If you got any yota ??'s hit me up, I can answer most of them. I have had a few and worked on many many more.

Cool, thanks! I found a few 18's I like. They are more of FWD style rim but they have an appearence of a lip cause the way the spokes are. The wheel I really want is a little out of my budget range.

Would it be better to bag the truck first or get wheels first?

get wheels 1st if you can, easier to set up bag mounts,be sure to z it before you do your bag mounts, that way you only do them once.get some drop spindles too...

Rough offset guide:

7" ~ +30-35
7.5" ~ +35-40

Thanks! I already have drop spindles on the truck.
