Probably the only thing I'm actually qualified to comment on...

Hydraulics for the most part are the same thing from company-to-company in many aspects and often times parts are shared with different names branded on each part. Most companies 12V motors with the same internal wind as many others. Many use a variation of Rockford or Marzocchi pumpheads which all essentially work the same way. Dump solenoids are all essentially the same thing and all work the same way. What sets them apart is:

1) Quality - some will skimp out on quality to make a larger profit even if they know they are doing this. Some will sell you something that will "work" but not last. Some will make it look pretty and not put an ounce of attention to the internal details. Some will call something a Delta, or a Parker when it is a cheaply made imitation. HYDROHOLICS does not do this.

2) Machining - in hydraulics, having the right tolerances when it comes to the machining is the difference of loving hydraulics or hating them. Cutting corners, not thinking ahead, building thousands of the same part without re-calibrating makes a huge difference. The more money is made the faster its put together however HYDROHOLICS does not do this. Attention to detail and quality are priority #1.

3) Innovating - until HYDROHOLICS came into the picture it was the same old story. Threaded cylinders to accept various bracketry, manifold choices, reverse ported symmetrical blocks, side-tilt mounting options, using premium bearing spun motor caps on every pump, and the list goes on.

Not to say other companies out there are bad - they are just geared to a different crowd.
