yes there are a few people on kauai that i know of that have bagged and boddied nissans. The last show coverage is from oahu and there are a lot of trucks that are bagged you just dont see them all the time. Maui also has some bagged rides which you've probably seen in lowlife video the corruption tour. I'm from the islands and will be opening up another shop in the next 6 months on maui. Just expect to pay 3x the amount to build a vehicle on the hawaiian islands. also you might want to think of packing DOM and Chromoly cause you cant get it on island. I just filled a container with metal for my shop for frames link bars etc. hit me up if you got more ?'s I know the scene very well on the islands.

For sure man. Ya I figured it'd be more expensive to build a truck out there. I'd probably end up selling my truck here (its got a small lift) and getting something new there. I dont want to even know how much it'd be to ship my truck from Oklahoma to Kauai haha. I paid about $750 to ship my old bagged chevy from Cali to Oklahoma. I'd like to get a mini and go back to bags unless the roads in the area are bad and would be better to go the lifted route again. Thanks for the post dude

Start one using simple machines forum (SMF). I started one for the Texas Panhandle, www.806minis.com and it really wasn't that hard.

Funny timing of this post I just came home from a trip to Maui. I was there for 7 days and I counted over 50 lifted minis! Allmost all tacomas and by lift I'm talking 8 to 12 inch at least! It was like going back in time, when you would see minis rolling around daily. There were a bunch of lowered ones rolling too just not like the lifted ones. I saw at least 10 crew cab tacos done up some with candy paint, strait axel, chrome! A few brandnew ones all done up to. I like the look they go for, big lift with short super wide tires sticking out. I would say the scene there is huge! I was allways the one driving driving but I wish I would have taken the time to snap pix. They were allways parked on the beach, could have had some cool photos. Maybe someone has some pics?

:NOREGRETS: has a Hawaii Chapter on Oahu. Great guys, they'll be coming out to FFF show and they were at WCN. I've been to Maui and the scene seemed pretty small, but the guys were cool.

When I was in Kaui'i 5 years ago, there was a club called 808 Cruzers that meets at the Coconut Marketplace. I also saw a clean body dropped/shaved Chevy Silverado bagged and painted metallic green and white 2 tone. Feature ready. Couldn't believe my eyes. Everything else there was covered in red mud. I did see Santa Clause in a static dropped 90's Toy. And there was a bunch of beat up lowered minis of all Japanese makes rollin around. So, i guess the answer to your question about Kaui'i would be yes. But be ready for that red mud that washes across the highway 3 or 4 times a week. Ha. Kaui'i was the fisrt time I ever saw a dude mowing his lawn in the rain. Locals there are nice too.

FFF has sold two bodied trucks to the big Island...and have been hit up for a chapter and the guys from NR Hawaii are cool as hell hung out with them at WCN. So there is def some mini truckers over there. It was about 1100 bucks to ship my truck over there when I sold it.

I just tried looking up 808 cruzers but no luck. Hopefully theres some more bagged rides there being 5 years ahead now. And ya I've heard about the red mud and that it sucks lol. We got red dirt here in Oklahoma that sucks too. I'd be staying in Pakala Village on the SW side of the island. From what Ive heard most of the tourists go to the north/east side. Thanks for the info man
