Im in the process of bagging my car and im setting it up for 255/30/20's which are 26" O.DNow this would be inflated height, but what about when you put the wheels and tires on the car and set it on the ground do the tires remain at 26" O.D or do they flatten out a little?Reason im asking is because i had originally tubbed my fender wells to tuck the 26" tires with about an 1/8" left to spare, as you can tell the 20's barely fit...well i ended up having custom control arms built due to the balljoints binding and measurements changed so now my tires would actually lay on the tubs instead of laying frame by 1/4" and like i said, i really cant raise the tubbed area anymore than it already is.In this picture it may look like theres more than an 1/8" gap between the tire and the tub but its just the angle it was taken.

that measurement is at fully inflated height with no load. so they will get smaller with less air and a load on them.
nice wheels btw

if that doesnt work they do make smaller 20 inch tires.

You could run a 245/30 and save yourself a 1/4 inch. Depending on your wheel width, with a little stretch it will make your tire a little shorter. It could just be the angle of the pic but it looks like your tire bubbles out a little past the wheel. If your wheel is a 20x8 the 245 will be square with the wheel. 8.5, a little stretch but not alot.

they also make a 225/30/20

ive already got the 255's and really dont want to go any smaller, a 225/30 might be ok for a mini truck but this car is heavier. my wheels are 8.5's and the tires are perfectly flush with the wheel lipeverything will work out just fine if the tire will squish just a 1/4" with the load on it. its got a V8 under the hood...

There are 215/30, 225/30, 235/30, 245/30 on and on.... I wouldn't go too small with billets, they bend way too easy.

thats the reason i went with the 255's to begin with cruck, i really want all the sidewall i can get.
