2200 to 2600 conversion

ok need a head fr my 2200 but got an idea will a 2600 bolt up in to my 2200 tranny and can i still use my weber setup on the 2600 engine

all I know is that the 2600 is fuel injected while the 2200 is carbed. I saw more info on this on another Mazda thread though.

I thought the 2.6 was completely different and not compatible to the 2.0 or the 2.2. the 2.6 is a Mitsubishi engine were the 2.2 and the 2.0 are Mazda/Ford (depending on the year but compatible).

For some nice mods for the 2.6 find a Starion forum or a Dodge conquest forum those two cars have the 2.6 engine.
For some nice mods on the 2.2 or 2.0 here and some Ford Probes forums have nice build ups of these engines.
