I've got a 99 blazer. 4.3/5-speed.

I'm wanting to go V8.

opinion time....which is better fuel injected/carb'd. and what engine should I do to accommodate your choice. thanks for any help at all.

Carbed is obviously the easier swap option, basically no wiring, and typically cheaper. Although I think an LS powered blazer would be sick.

no doubt that carbed is easier over all. I've tossed around the idea of a 6.0 liter though?

depends on the depth of your pockets the lsx swaps get real expensive real quick. i have done both in my trucks the carb was obviosly cheaper and easier.

The carbed swap will definitely be cheaper, unless you know ppl who can hook you up with engines/harnesses etc for the FI swap. I would say the FI swap isn't much harder though if you have a standalone harness made it's all straight forward plug and play, and only like a 4 wire hook up to get it to run.

as i mentioned before...

on the fuel injected side i've tossed around the idea of a 6.0

but on the carbed side I've thought about doing just a 350 with a mild cam or a beastly tree-eighty-tree.

I honestly just want it for show. I don't really care about going fast. If I want to go fast I'll build a camaro or something.

they make pretty sweet engine kits to get 300+ HP out of your 4.3

google it, build it, be happier with it.

then no swap, no hassle, and you have something different then yet another v8 s10..

and if for some reason you want to go fast, lol get a camaro..
