Happy New Year everyone. Okay, this is what I got going. I'm working on a 1993 1ton crew cab dually. Its got a 454 and a 4 speed automatic. When I purchased the pig, the tranny was shot. I picked up a freshly rebuilt 4l80e and prepped it for the swap. When I got it in the air, I discovered that sometime along the way, someone put a 700r4 in. Afterr installing the 4l80e,it has two sensor plugs on the driver side, one towards the front, and one at the rear. I have 4 loose wires and not sure which ones go where. Can anyone help?

You are safe to switch those wires around .....So you can put them in the wrong spot and change them around if your speedometer doesnt work...

Yes. One female plug is above and slightly forward of the linkage. The second is towards the back ahead of the tailshaft and above the main plug that is roundish. That main roundish plug is still there and unaltered. The other two male plugs were cut from the trucks harness and all that is left is 4 loose wires. Trying to find out which goes where. Thanks.

there proably for back up lights?

Pretty sure they have nothing to do with back up lights. Those are working fine. I think they are the speedometer and some kind of kick down or? .

one should be for torque converter lock up and the other for the speedo or the shift solenoid.

see if this helps

Check out this site. www.alldatadiy.com
You can get the wire diagrams, locations and pictures for almost any vehicle. You do have to pay to use it but it is a great tool to have when doing a swap or any work you have questions on. I use it all the time. It has more info than the average Haynes manual.
