about to build a new fuel cell using steel this time already have the pieces ready to weld, not set up to do aluminum or id go that route. question is what products or kits do some of you who do build cells use to coat the inside from rusting. ive been looking online and come up with repair kits for old tanks, being this is new unrusted metal i shouldnt need all that stuff in the repair kits but mainly im guessing something that etches the metal and then the coating/sealer? any suggestions, comments, complaints.

I bought a kit from eastwood which was I think made more for reapairing old tanks but should work. Haven't tried it out yet but I'm interested to in what others are using.

I think POR15 makes a sealer for tanks.

I have used the Por15 in a tank I made for my ram over 2 years ago. And it is still holding up fine.

I use a product called Red Kote. I put it inside every fuel cell i sell. It is very easy to use, no mixing or anything, and it covers extremely well.

Its only a 25$ product, so ive been putting it on every tank i sell since i found it, its very cheep insurance.

i use kreem tanks liners. ive used it on all my custom chopper tanks and also on my truck. it works great! i used the red stuff from orielys and had problems with it drying. my tanks sat for 3 months and when i went to use it i had red gas in my intake manifold.
