best way to polish a aluminum air tank

i bought a aluminum tank that has nicks and scratches and its brand new, also want to get rid of the dull look and make it shine so how would i do this?

i use 2 different ways 1 being a mothers ball and the aluminum wheel polish and 2 would be wizards polish and sealent i got mine from a local motorcycle shop most of them have it in stock, the polish comes in a tin can, and the sealent say aluminum sealer on it

also depends on the aluminum. if its a cheap grade it wont ever be shiny like bright chrome.

i get the polishing part but what about the scratches and nicks, do i need to wet sand it, if so what grade paper do i use?

wet sand will work start with 400 then 600 800 1200 then polish

windex does wonders to aluminum also

I use jewellers rogue it is avaible at just about any truckstop works great on all tanks start with the brown bar and finish with the white there are three different bars and three different wheels but it is still the best for a tank
