Just wondering why the economy is in such bad shape and people are loosing their houses because they can't sell them and the value of them is not woth anything anymore .....i remember when owning a house was the most important thing.....but my problem is people trying to sell their vehicles for way more than they are really worth , the value of the vehicle sure as heck didn't go up.....its just crazy to think someone trying to get several grand more than NADA the bank sure won't give you a loan for that......if your trucks really only worth 12K don't think you can get 30K for it ....it just ain't going to happen in this economy ....my suggestion is to keep it for 10+ years and hope by then the economy is on the up and up but that won't help then either because by then it really won't be worth nothing .......sorry guys just trying to vent looked at a few sites today and the prices just made me sick (ebay, mautofied, classifieds.craigslist)

Things are "worth" what people will pay for it.

I just sold my 2002 ram that booked for 6500. I took 13,500 for it.

If you cant afford it, it does not mean its not worth it.... nor does it mean that it is worth it. Some people see value where others do not.

People are hurting for money bro, the economy sucks and some people are just trying to get what they put in to their vehicles. I'm always looking around for deals but I think a lot of it has to do with emotional attachment. Some guys and girls are just emotionally attached to their vehicles so they add that into the price.

People really not be motivated to sell that is why it is priced high or they give it lots of wiggle room to come down in price to hook the buyer and still not get raped. I'm a motivated seller but people want free trucks that take lots of time and money to build. I'll take 10 grand for my tacoma now for the next few weeks. Call me for details 619-246-0677 truck is in Riverside, Ca.

Taylor Im in the car business and its refreshing to hear someone say that.. Couldnt have said it better myself sir.... People can say what they want for their car but in the end its worth what someone can sell it for... period...

i need to get rid of mine, but people want me to almost give it away. kbb.com said around 7 to 7500 for it, its needs a little work, and i have over 7 in it. i was asking 7500 or best offer and it never sold. i need it gone but im not letting it go for nothing.

Buyer backed out at last second didnt want to repost on mautofied cause I had 200 emails a month to trade my truck for a honda civic or a crotch rocket. I put 3500 for the bullshitters on there. I put my retirement check into this and 5 years and over 30K so I think 10K is a fair price for a clean show truck.

Im in the used truck business and sell General motors, Dodge, Ford. The NADA is a guide just like kbb.com and edmunds. Most banks use NADA guides for loan values. Have seen several trucks roll through manheim auction and have taking in trucks as trades thousands higher than the guides show for trade values and they sell higher than retail guides shows. example low miles 7.3 diesel Fords, excursions, low mile 5.9 cummins, or if you get into lifted custom trucks too. Pretty much a good deal is when both parties are happy right? if you dont see value in what your looking at for the cost dont buy it. The fuel prices also change the truck prices too
