To make a long story short bout 2 years ago i bought a 1947 ford superdeluxe fourdoor. The car has been sitting beside the house since then. My problem is i dont know where to go with it, its a decent car that needs body work. Im just not shore if its the car i want to burry countless hours into and dollars or sell it and get a truck. its an awsome looking car but it would never fit the mini truck scene it would always be considerd a hot rod. my plans were to run a 98 crown vic front and 2x3 frame the rest, with 18/20combo, 4.6 engine for modern feel and its wat comes in the vic. also stealing the seats and watever else i could salvage and a paintjob maybe pearl cream or somthing simple. i guess wat im trying to get at is do yall think its worth my time and effort or just find somthing else. and any info would be good.

Some pics of the car would be great if you had them. Theres alot to think about, more than likely you'll get more money out of a hotrod than a minitruck if your just looking to sell it. There are also way more hotrod shows than minitruck shows. Ultimately its going to come down to you and what your likes are. It already sounds like you'd rather have a minitruck.....

Im pretty sure if you bag and bodydrop an oldskool car like it sounds like you plan to, it would be perfectly at home in a crowd of minitrucks. I dont think Ive ever seen oddball stuff like that turned away from a show or cruise night. I would say that a lot of minitruckers ( or fullsize truckers for that matter) are pretty openminded that way. If it lays, and looks good, most people will check it out. And like Chris pointed out, you will get the best of both worlds, as hot rodders are way more picky about what they let into their shows. Maybe its just me, but Id rock the sh*t out of a 40s 4door if I had one!
