What is the easiest way to lay the biggest wheels on a b2200? Like 20's, what needs to be done? Any info will be appreciated! Truck is already bodied on 17's... Asking for a friend.

thanks

My brothers got an 89 b2200 that were going to body on a set of 20" BAD's this spring Hes got the CanDo tubular control arms and bag bracket kit to make the job easier up front and we will do a 4link cantilever setup on the rear.

We helped a friend Re-bag his bodied b2200 a while back on 18's and we had to relocate the clutch master cylinder and all of the rest of the usual work involved like tubbing the firewall, notching etc. He decided to use the stock front end suspension parts so we had to flip the balljoints to keep them from binding when layed. Im sure you could lay a 20 on the front with stock parts if you pie cut the arms to reangle the joints. Somebody correct me if im wrong.

your right . reangle the upper ball joints 13-15 degrees, and Z the frame 1/2" unless you want it to lay harder in the rear then the front.

i layed my mazda out all on stock parts in the front. didnt pie cut the control arms. just flipped the lower ball joint. lays flat on 20s.

VERY clean truck Cory! daily driver?
I think the 1/2" Z that Mazberry mentioned would help that front lay a little harder like the rear. Again..i love the truck..dont see many looking that nice anymore.

nah not a daily anymore, more less turning into a show truck. it lays harder now, drug the crossmember down.

haha I hear ya..did mine the same way, buts its on 18s still. I am thinking about going 20s soon... prolly will now that I see its possible to lay with pretty much exactly what i already done. Did you triangle your lowers or keep the bars?

NOt sure but I am sure there are some write ups on here or over on mazdabscene.com I know some have Z'ed the front end, others pie cut. Really going to be what you want to do.

Cory truck looks awesome love the camber up front.

i kept the bars. but gonna triangle them real soon...

We used AIM drip spindles and the truck lays on a 245/35 20 just fine, all stock arms, relocated master cylinder and we made tubing core support braces
