Does anyone know a good shop/or person in southwest Ohio who could help fix a vibration in my truck. Its a 1998 s10 std cab short bed 4cly auto, with air bags and suicide doors bolt on backhalf. I have adjusted the pinon and it did not help. Took my driveshaft and had it balanced and new u-joints put in, they told me it was not to long. If i lift the truck up to almost stock the vibration goes away. Only thing i think it maybe is the driveshaft is to short.

Are the SD kit link arms adjustable? sounds like it needs some tweaking. Check over all your hardware also.

Is the driveshaft one piece or two? When you adjusted your pinion angle did you go off anything or did you just guess and drive it?

standard cab shortbed should be one piece if im not mistaken.

LOL, I didn't even see that in his post! I like to set the truck at ride height and get a measurement off the tailshaft. If the tailshaft measurement is 3 degrees down then I make the rearend 3 degrees up (equal but opposite angles for one piece driveshafts). Depending on the suspension and what the vehicle is doing will change some things.

Yes it is a one piece drive-shaft. The tail-shaft is 5

If everything is mechanically sound in the driveline (u-joints, driveshaft, etc.). You could try and shim up the trans a bit.

Check your transmission and motor mounts, they could be worn out.

at ride height there should be 3-5 degrees of differnce between the two joints not 10.

You need to shim your tranny up about 1/2"-3/4" (any more and it will hit the floor), then set your pinion around 2-3
