im only running a 24 on it, but the stoopid ass 305-35-24 tire is whats killing me. its 33.5" OD. If i dropped down to a 30 series, a lot of problems would go away....but i would be afraid to drive on that tire probably.

what kind of problems r u dealing with ?

trying to stuff a 14" wide and 33.5 tall tire in this stoopid engine bay lol

mainly right now my main problems are steering related. The toe change im getting is not really cool, but its managable. Just the overall problems of trying to lay anything this large on all factory mount locations is most of the problems. an aftermarket dropmember or something of that sort would fix it all im sure, maybee even just going to rack steering...idk.

Not too worried about it, i have plenty of other work to do.

Hahah yea u seem to be one hell of a busy guy ...The steering rack the most people use is 92 mustang or thunderbird but the problem is that the tierods r shorter then the lower arms .. i was looking at other steering racks and i think for the C-10 a late 90s ranger rack form an edge would work way better .. also toe changes r in part due to camber changes .. ive got almost no camber change from laid out to locked up and i dont really have much toe change .

heres some pics of my frontend .. its only on 22s right now cuz i got them real cheap .. its setup to lay on the same size wheel and tire u have right now ..

Yea changing the mounting locations of everything makes it MUUUCH easier, but i wanted to see what could be done with the stock mounting locations on the frame with no mods at all. if i decide i cant stick with what i have, im just going to run a porterbuilt dropmember on it to take care of my issues. I have done a few c10s on a dropmember with this size wheel and tire, and never had an issue, it works great.

I was just trying to keep it simple and use all my stock mounting locations for everything, with no mods to the stock frame at all... it works but its just not as efficant as i would want it to be really... idk, we will see, im not worried about it really, its a simple fix in the long run, just need to find the time to finish it.

Going to be nuts to see your truck with a 33.5" od tire, mine only lays frame on the 1ton frame, and its 7/8" from the hood, I dont know how i would shut the hood if i was 4" lower like yours,

Ive all ready made a dozen or so sets of arms that work with the dropmember, I will probably just stick with that, so i can whip up a set of arms, and be done with it after installing it. I know what to expect with it as well. I have the necessary dimensions to make one up and produce it here, but i just dont ever see myself wanting to produce one really, the porterbuilt unit is all ready a fantastic piece.

I just picked up another truck on monday, so i want to get this one finished and off to my body guy, so i can plan with this next one here.

My kit uses any C-10 arm made .. I took the good and the bad ive learned with these bolt in dropmembers and fix a few problems they have from frame flex to bad bag placement along with a few other small things .. im not saying they are bad and to not use them but when something is made for such a wide use you kind of have to sick with middle of the road .. The reason i build my crossmember the way i do is so that you can lay rockers on a big wheel with out Z-ing the frame and still get 12" of lift .. I do want to buy a set of your arms they look amazing and from what people have told me they are the best arms made .. !!cant wait to see what you do with that new truck ..!!!!!!
