engine and trans operating angle

anyone know the approx operating angle of the transmission when mated with the engine?thx

5 degrees is rule of thumb

I have researched this allot the main reason for the angle originally was for more cab room. Although most Carbs are built to accommodate the angle. I would maybe research the carb you have or are going to get, to maybe find out if it requires a specific angle, and 2 - 5deg is what i have always herd.
