93 suburban runnin like crap. Please help

I have a 93 suburban c1500 with a 5.7l. So about a month ago my exhaust broke. Started running really rough. So then i welded it back up. Then just last week it started runnin roufg again. It seems like its not gettin gas or like it has a clogged catalytic converter. I cut the cat off, changed plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and fuel filter. It runs fine for sbout the first five minutes until it warms up. Then it runs really crappy. If i hit the gas pedal it starts back firing and doesnt really wanna go. The only way itll go is if i floor it. Then all the sudden it cathces and off she goes.

Kinda at a loss, if anyone has any suggestins id appreciate it,Thanks ahead of tme. david

Check and make sure that the oxygen sensor is connected and functioning properly. I had a similar problem after rebuilding my 454 in my C/K 3800. The oxygen sensor became disconnected in the mits of me installing a new tranmission mount. Ran like crap. Found that the oxygen sensor wire became disconnected. Fixed the problem, still ran like crap, because I forgot to clear the code from the ECU by pulling the fuse marked "ECU". Did all of that, and the problem was solved. You did'nt say wheather or not the check engine light came on, if it did that means the E.C.U. recived a CODE & you need to read it & CLEAR IT. If you fix the problem & (DON't CLEAR THE CODE ) the computer will STILL THINK something iz wrong, pull fuse & count to 15 or 20 sec. & reinstall it.

Also, check and make sure the map sensor is connected, both the vacuum line and the electrical connection. This also sends signals to the ECU. All sensors are VERY IMPORTANT. They send signals to the ECU and the ECU determines what the engine needs i.e. FUEL / IGNITION Bottom Line the tune on the engine.

Well, the wierd thing is thst the check engine light did not turn on. So idk. Would that mas turn on. The check enigine light.?

I had the same problem last year with my 92 blazer(4.3 non vortec). It was doing the same thing, but my check engine light came on. It would act as if it was starving for gas and win u pressed the gas pedal it might get up to 25 or 30 mph and that was pushing it through the floor. It ended up being the pigtail wires on one of my enjectors had come loose. Had that fixed and wala, problem solved! Hope this helps.

there is a hose on the back of the throttle body. mine was falling off all the time til i secured it better. check it.

check yout o2 sensors also could have gone bad

its a 93 chevy.. sounds like its running perfect to me...
