I'm trying to put back together humpty dumpty. Anyhow I'm putting in a different Rear end in that is narrower then the original to fit 17" Escalade wheels under my B2200. Anyhow what is the normal consciences of remove or keep the e-brake. I'm thinking about removing the cables.

keep the PARKING brake mechanism together it keeps some tension on rear brakes. If its not there it can cause the rears to tighten over time and lockup the rear brakes. That includes removing the whole mechanism for the parking brake ie.. parking brake equalizer, strut bar, self adjuster. now as for some minis with load sensing/ load proportioning valves on rear end you can remove those but you have to trace the line back to the union and delete it.
