The truck was 90% done. The door panels were on, but I need to redo them as they were last minute. I stayed in Vegas till Sunday. It rained as we were rolling out of the show and then rained again when I was driving it home, so it's kinda dirty right now. I had a small issue leaving the hotel on the day of roll in. I snagged my gas tank on an expansion joint bolt in the hotel's parking garage. I lost 1/4 tank of gas from the hotel to the check in lot. Got there at 6:30 pouring gas out of the tank. Borrowed Aaron Hunt's tow pig (big thank you to him for letting me use it) and went to Autozone, which didn't open till 8am. Picked up $60 worth crap to fix it, even a hammer and rubber gloves, lol. My buddy Will Hodder walked to the gas station to get some soap and batteries (battery on the alarm remote died at the same time and I couldn't open the door to the truck.) Then I started working on the tank with some metal epoxy putty. I plugged the hole with the soap to get it to stop dripping so I could scuff the tank with a sanding pad. Then I applied one small coat of the epoxy, waited an hour, then applied a second/ larger coat. Will then headed to the gas station to get 2 gallons. An hour later I started filling it, only to see fuel spilling out again. There was a second hole :( So I started over again. Plugged the second hole with soap to stop the dripping, applied the epoxy, and waited an hour. Finally filled it up again with another 2 gallons and drove it into the check-in afternoon sometime.... I lost track of time by this point. It held up just fine through the show and the entire drive home.
I want to thank everyone that helped get my personal vehicle to SEMA 2011! There were a lot of companies, friends and friends at companies that donated their products and time to the truck. I couldn't have done it without all of you guys!
I'll have some more pictures up soon of the interior and such.
