well it seems that the upper balljoints are what is holding me from laying 20s on my yota clipped ranger. what do you guys run for an upper ball joint? i have the MMW flat plate uppers, they helped a little bit, but the way this balljoint is made is retarded. gets a ton of travel for lift but barly any for drop. taylor from MMW suggested the screw in ball joints as they get more travel and i would have to get the screw in cups to weld to the UCAs. any thoughts/ suggestions? heres a pic of the the ball joint

The moog K772s will fit the toyota spindle, but ya you'd have to mod the arms for them. Speedway sells the cups for like $10 each.

modding the arms is no problem. is that the chrysler screw in style?

i can get the cups +joint off speedway for 18 bux each. not bad.

y dont you just bend the arm on a press a few degrees to equal out the amount of travel.....

go with the afco brand on speedway its a way better dust boot

these are the tacoma arms that i build using the screw in balljoints. these will allow up to a 22 and 13"+ of lift if the bag set up is done correctly. the stock balljoint only allows approx. 24 degrees of articulation, the screw in style allow 32 degrees

Sweet, exact joints I ordered. Those arms look sick. Any tip for putting the joint in? I was assuming setting the suspension at half travel and setting the joint level there.

ya that will get you close. my cups in the arms are set at a - degree when level. that should help u a little bit.
