I really want to do a rear disk conversion on my 1991 Chev C1500 extended cab. Just wondering what people have done for the 5 lug body style. I spoke to a fellow at Wilwood and he said sorry we do not do any style of brake for that truck. So my next bet is Bear or SSBC. Up here in Canada that product is big money. I know skimping on brakes is a bad deal but money is a little slim so I'm looking to try and do a safe but economical conversion. I thought about doing a rear end swap out of a 1999 Chev or Gmc but not sure if the widith is right plus they are 6 lug and doing custom diffs/axles is more than likely more than just ordering the Bear or SSBC product. Thanks for the help Guys/Gals.

I used Speedway weld on caliper brackets, Impala SS rotors, S10 front calipers, and S10 flex lines. Had a little over $200 in the conversion. If you need to keep your parking brake, you'll need to run a different caliper.
