lookin for advice and ideas

i have a 94 fullsize chevy and i wana SFBD it to the doors im thinkin 2.5x3 1/4thick

thanx bigjon thats a nice build

but i need more somebody anybody post some good pics or links for me im mainly looking for different ways to join the box tubr to the stock frame

Paul just run some 2x4 or 3x4. Slide the metal into the stock frame a little bit then plate it on the open side. Maybe plug weld it too

i used 2x4 and slid about 8 inches into factory clip. I then welded where they meet and plated open side like he dragger said, and gusseted it on all sides 4-5 inches on either sides of the overlap.

ok so i decided on 2x3 cuz im goin to the doors but im still lookin for pics on plating and maby some cab mounts i have some ideas. ive been all over fsc and i see that some people just replate the top some do top and sides and some people plate all 4 sides. i checked out tre5's 88-98 1500 build that was nice but im still lookin for more
