explorer front end swap

i was thinking of getting a 98 explorer 2door and i was wondering if the front ends could be swapped with say a newer explorer or maybe one from a sport trac of the same year? kinda like people do with rangers.

does anyone know how it's done? is there alot of cutting involved or is it as simple as changing the header panel?

If you are wanting to do a 02-10 front end it will not just bolt on you need to fabricate a lot ,to get it where you want its a totally different front clip(apron,core suppot, head panel) But with some good skills you can get it there good luck!

What about with the sport trac of the same year? I figured it would with
those being explorers also.

sport tracs were not made until 2001. I always thought it would be cool to swap a ranger edge front end onto an explorer...would take some fab work, just the opposite of what most people do. Either that a 2001 up bseries front end and graph the bedsides into the explorer
