Drop shocks or not?

Pretty easy question guys.

My brother is ready to order his mild 3/4 drop for his 87 shortbed C10. I believe the kit he wants uses coils up front and hangers/shackles out back. Will he need drop shocks or not? Doesnt seem like that much of a drop so I was thinking maybe he could get away with running stock shocks.

Any info is appreciated.

yeah honestly anything over 2" usually you need shorter shocks. on the other hand do not buy the dropped shocks. just got to the auto parts store and raid there book for measurements and get some a bit shorter than stock.

cool. thanks jeff. I really hoped my bro wasnt gonna have to buy the drop shocks...theyre really pricey. So, my next question: does anyone know some shorter shocks that can be ran? Like for what vehicle should I look for?

corvettes from the 70s are shorter and should work for the front for sure and maybe the rear.
